Description: The entire worship service from July 8, 2007 is included in this DVD which includes Ortberg's sermon titled, "The Strange Silence of God". We who are believers find that we live in the same world as unbelievers. We see the same circumstances, are troubled by the same evil, don't have visions or hear voices or experience the kind of miracles that could prove God in some scientific way. Yet, believers choose to believe in and bet our entire existence on a God we cannot see, touch, hear, and prove. Ortberg then raises and addresses three questions. 1. If believeing in God is such a big deal to Him, why doesn't God make Himself more obvious? Why doesn't He give us more compelling proof and evidence? 2. If Christianity is true, why aren't Christian better advertisements? And 3. If there is really an all-loving, all-powerful, all-good and competent God overseeing the Universe, why is there so much evil and so much suffering and so much pain?
