Description: The sixth and final DVD in the Faith & Doubt series from Rev. John Ortberg and Menlo Park Presbyterian Church presented June 24, 2007. The DVD includes the entire worship service including the sermon titled, "What Do We Really Believe". If faith is so important…if it's such a big deal to God that we actually say that we're saved by grace through faith - then why does faith sometimes not seem to make a bigger difference in people's lives? Three different convictions are then explored. First there are "public convictions", "private convictions", and "core convictions". These three types of convictions might be considered as what I say I believe, what I think I believe and what I show or reveal that I really believe. Using the Apostles Creed, Ortberg asks, "What if we got together and instead of reciting the Apostle's Creed, what if an all-knowing observer were to watch our behavior for a year? Then what if we were to gather together, and we had to recite the "creed" of the beliefs and purposes that really guide our behavior? Would that "creed" look any different than the Apostle's Creed?"
