Description: "At last a resource for adults that is as cool as the re:form curricula for youth" says Patrick Scriven, PNW Conference Director of Ministry with Youth and Young Adults.

Animate is an entirely different way to approach small group bible study for adults. Designed with the young adult in mind this study of 7 sessions does not aim to provide answers, but seeks instead to raise questions, to flip established answers and assumptions upside down, to stick in the heads of participants long after the small group sessions are completed and to change the people involved in the small group by helping "animate" their faith.

Learning sessions include the following topics and leaders:
God (Faith is a Quest by Brian McClaren)
Religion (Spirituality is not Enough by Lillian Daniel)
Jesus (the Revolution of Love by Mark Scandrette)
Salvation (Abundant Life Now by Shane Hipps)
Cross (Where God Is by Nadia Bolz-Weber)
Bible (A Book Like No Other by Lauren Winner)
Church (An Imperfect Family by Bruce Reyes-Chow)

A Leader Guide and Particpant Journal are included. It is recommended that each participant have a journal as part of this study. They can be purchased at wearesparkhouse.org.

"I highly recommend this resource. This brought together a diversity of views in our congregation and sparked meaningful conversation and real spiritual growth. I hope to use it again in the future!"
- Elizabeth Schindler
Pastor - Faith UMC, Issaquah
