It is based on research, scripture and an understanding of Baptism that informs our belief that home is the primary place for nurturing and passing on the faith. This course will help congregations build a strong and vital partnership with households for a common mission - to experience God's story and practice the Christian faith in daily life. Participants will be engaged and equipped through presenter's stories, Biblical references, and practical "how-to's". Each session is produced with both the lay person and church professional in mind and designed for 50-60 minutes of class time. Equipping Households of Faith is hosted and narrated by Linda Staats. Session 1: Foundations for Creating Households of Faith; Session 2: Connecting Church and Home; 3: Faith Practices in the Home; 4: Placing in Your Hands the Holy Scripture. This course includes a comprehensive study guide for the facilitator and participants, and an extensive bibliography. |
