Description: God's grace is like a big umbrella that covers us from the cradle to the grave. We all live under this grace. The question is: how do we experience it? In this 4 week study, Jorge Acevedo and Wes Olds, examine God's Word and explore four distinct seasons in which we experience God's grace along life's journey, leading us to a better understanding and experience of the amazing grace of God that transforms us, those around us, and our world.
The four lessons are
1) Even There: God's All-Reaching Love - (Prevenient Grace) How we experience God's grace depends on what season of our life we are in. The parable of the Prodigal son is our Bible study.
2) Even Now: God's Soul-Saving Love - (Justifying Grace) Salvation is not a gift that we receive because of our own goodness, but because of God's love. Our Bible stories are the Nicodemus story and the woman at the well. Acevedo and Olds also tell their own personal journeys into God's soul-saving love.
3) Even More: God's Character -Shaping Love - (Sanctifying Grace) God wants to shape each of us by his Holy Spirit so we have a character like Jesus. God has a purpose for each of us. The Christian journey is not straight or smooth but is filled with valleys. We need to be filled constantly on our journeys with the Holy Spirit.
4) Even When: God's Never-Ending Love - (Glorifying Grace) The grace that moves us from earthly life to eternal life This session speaks about death through the story of Lazarus and his death and resurrection. We need to live courageously believing that even though we die, we will live again.
